2016 25 Aug Summer 2016 Recap: APAICS Interns in DC

During the 8-week APAICS Summer Internship Program, the interns had the opportunity to meet Rep. Mark Takano and Rep. Grace Meng, tour the White House and Pentagon. It was a full summer of working and exploring the nation’s capital. Here is a recap of their summer!

“This summer, Julianne is serving as a congressional intern in Representative Mark Takano’s office, where she helps provide constituent services and works on policy issues like education, immigration, and gun legislation. APAICS has given Julianne the opportunity to experience American politics and public policy at the federal level. This program has also allowed her to learn more about and connect with the AAPI community and AAPI leaders from across the country. Interning through APAICS has reaffirmed Julianne’s commitment to pursuing a career and public service.”
