ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM), celebrating the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.  Please join us at one of our many events.

The annual APAICS Awards Gala Dinner is the premier event in Washington, D.C. to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The evening honors Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders, both current and pioneers, and recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations that continue to politically empower the AAPI community. Support the APAICS mission in building the political pipeline for AAPIs and join us for an evening of networking with over 1000 attendees from across the country, including community leaders, business leaders and the largest gathering of AAPI local, state, and federal elected officials and appointees.

Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win a 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The winner of the raffle will be announced at the 24th Annual Awards Gala Dinner, but you do not need to be present to participate. Tickets are $25 each.

The APAICS National Leadership Academy for Elected Officials was established in 1999 to provide Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) elected officials with the skills and resources needed to excel in their current office as well as prepare them for opportunities to advance into higher office. The National Leadership Academy brings together a bipartisan group of promising AAPI political leaders from state legislatures, city councils, and local governing bodies all across the country to Washington, D.C.

The Military Leadership Luncheon is dedicated to promoting leadership diversity and Asian American and Pacific Islander representation in our troops. Active members and veterans of our Armed Forces have the opportunity to learn how to utilize skills and prior leadership experiences to contribute to personal and professional development in the future. Promoting diversity in the military encourages and strengthens the voice of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders throughout our nation.
