Cathy currently serves as the Program Director at the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS). In this capacity, she develops and implements APAICS programs such as the Summer Internship Program, Congressional Fellowship Program, Young Leaders Summit, Regional Leadership Academy, and National Leadership Academy.


Prior to joining APAICS, she served as a teaching assistant for the UCLA Global Classroom Program in Nanjing, China, where she taught U.S. history, American popular culture, and macroeconomics courses.


Cathy graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Political Science and Asian American Studies. She was a recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship, which fully funded her undergraduate education, and a former APAICS intern. Cathy was also a Robert T. Matsui-University of California Congressional Fellow and a Fulbright (Macau) finalist.
