DDavid Lin currently holds the position of Vice President, Public Affairs and Advocacy at IW Group, Inc. in New York, NY. In this capacity, he advises his clients on developing and implementing winning strategies and campaigns at local, state and national levels to advance clients’ business goals and objectives.

 

A veteran of 10 years of public affairs experience at AT&T, David was responsible for building and nurturing AT&T relationships with Asian American community-based organizations. Under his leadership, AT&T’s community outreach and educational efforts were well-recognized by his industry peers and members of the community.

 

During his more than 35-year career at AT&T, David has also held leadership positions across a variety of disciplines including consumer marketing, sales, product management, finance, systems development and data center operations.

 

David has been involved with the Asian American employee resource group at AT&T – Asian Pacific Islanders for Professional and Community Advancement (APCA) for over twenty years. APCA currently has over 4,300 members with 13 chapters around the country. David is the Founding and Past National President of APCA.

 

David is very active with a number of Asian American community-based organizations.

He is the National President of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL); Chair of the OCA Business Advisory Council; Treasurer of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS); and a Board Member of the Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP). He also served on the advisory councils of the Asian Business Association of Los Angeles, the Asian Pacific American Legal Center and the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Los Angeles.

 

He is the recipient of OCA New Jersey Chapter’s Community Service Award in December 2011, the recipient of New Jersey Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce’s Diversity Champion Award in September 2013 and Asian Business Association’s Advocate of the Year Award in September 2013 as well.

 

David was a School Board Member of Hillsborough, NJ from 2006 to 2009 and the Vice President of the School Board from 2007 to 2009. He also served on the Hillsborough Culture & Arts Commission, Hillsborough Public Library Advisory Board and the Hillsborough Education Foundation.

 

David received a Masters degree in Computer Science, a MBA in Finance and a Bachelor degree in Mathematics, all from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He is also a graduate of the Program for Management Development Executive Education from Harvard Business School.
