A new study shows that Orange County now has the third-largest Asian population in the nation, after Los Angeles and Santa Clara counties. Today, in a sprawling county of 3 million residents, there are nearly 600,000 Asian Americans. Between 2000 and 2010, the AAPI population in Orange County increased by a dramatic 41%. Yet, there is still a need for representation when it comes to government. Now more than ever, engaging and connecting with the expanding community and political leaders in greater Orange County is crucial.
