TTariq Khan is a recognized business leader in marketing, branding, segmentation, customer relationship, social media services, and diversity arena. Tariq’s work, interviews and articles have been published in several trade and industry publications. He is the founder and CEO of Global Diversity Marketing, Inc., a management consulting firm focused on helping organizations to better understand the changing marketplace. Global Diversity Marketing client list includes companies like AXA, Wells Fargo, MoneyGram International, Northwestern Mutual, Pacific Life Insurance Company, Penn Mutual, Prudential, The Producers Group, and United Healthcare. Tariq is best known for his thought leadership in leading the diversity initiatives at global fortune companies while making the business case for diversity and inclusion.

 

Tariq has had a distinguished twenty five-year career, mostly at global Fortune companies including MetLife, Nationwide, and ING. Tariq has held several senior management roles with the major fortune companies. In his last corporate position, Tariq was senior vice president and head of market development for ING, where he led ING’s strategy to expand growing emerging markets.

 

Tariq has traveled around the globe and has held several key leadership positions during his career including head of strategy, marketing, advertising and recruiting in a diverse environment. Tariq has developed, supported, and managed the largest and most diverse sales force in the financial services industry. During his corporate career, Tariq has developed several award winning marketing and branding, and recruiting campaigns including some of the most popular programs for the African American, Asian, Hispanic, LGBT and Women’s market. He has played a critical role in developing innovative marketing and recruiting initiatives and campaigns to reach diverse customers.

 

Tariq has equally impressive contributions in the non-profit area. He is a member of advisory council at the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), the largest U.S. organizations devoted to scholarships for Asian and Pacific Islander American students. APIASF is funded by Gates foundation. Tariq is also a board of director at the Asian Pacific Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), a national non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific American participation and representation at all levels of the political process, from community services to elected office. Tariq is also a board of director at Ascend and National Association of Asian MBA (NAAMBA).

 

Tariq is also an adjunct professor of marketing and public relations at New York University. Tariq earned a bachelor’s degree in international marketing and advertising from Baruch College, New York, an MBA in marketing and management from St. John’s University, New York, and an Executive Management Certificate from Babson College, MA.
