About the Regional Leadership Academy
The APAICS Regional Leadership Academy is a two-day leadership training event for community stakeholders, individuals seeking to run for public office, current elected officials, and those with an interest in policymaking or social justice.
We are proud to deliver programming that is consists of interactive political training with topics ranging from developing your campaign plan, communications, digital organizing, power mapping, volunteer recruitment and management, and fundraising.
The Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) is a non-partisan, non-profit educational organization dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific American participation and representation at all levels of the political process, from community service to elected office. The academy will take place all day on Friday, March 27, 2020 & Saturday, March 28, 2020.
There will also be a community reception on the evening of Friday, March 27.
The full schedule will be provided with exact times closer to the event date.
Rough timings are as follows:
Training: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (Postponed)
Community Reception: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (Postponed)
Training: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (Postponed)
Cost of Attendance
There is a small fee of $25 to attend the academy. Upon acceptance, program participants will be asked to pay this amount. The fee covers the entire training, breakfast and lunch both days, and the reception on Friday evening.
If you are unable to pay the $25, scholarship options are available.
