About the Regional Leadership Academy
The APAICS Regional Leadership Academy is a two-day leadership training event for community stakeholders, individuals seeking to run for public office, current elected officials, and those with an interest in policymaking or social justice.
The San Diego Regional Leadership Academy is co-hosted in partnership with the League of CA Cities API Caucus. APAICS and the League of CA Cities API Caucus are proud to deliver programming that consists of interactive political training with topics ranging from developing your campaign plan, communications, digital organizing, power mapping, volunteer recruitment and management, and fundraising.
The Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) is a non-partisan, non-profit educational organization dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific American participation and representation at all levels of the political process, from community service to elected office. About the League of CA Cities API Caucus
The API Caucus is a non-partisan organization organized within the League of California Cities. The API Caucus serves as leaders to improve the quality of life, advocate on behalf of the API community, and provide resources to develop the next generation of leaders. The API Caucus is active in the development of public policy affecting our cities, constituents, and all of California.

The academy will take place from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM PDT on Friday, September 18, 2020 & Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Cost of Attendance
There is a small fee of $25 to attend the academy. Upon acceptance, program participants will be asked to pay this amount. The fee covers the entire training for both days.
However, if you’re a dues-paying member of the League of CA Cities API Caucus, it will be waived.
If you are unable to pay the $25, scholarship options are available.
