New APAICS Online Programming
I hope this email finds you well as we collectively navigate a challenging time. We are facing unprecedented uncertainty amid the COVID-19 crisis and hope that you are all finding time to take care of yourselves and your loved ones. At APAICS, we are redesigning how we offer our programming to reach our community virtually even when we can’t meet in-person. Last month, we hosted our first virtual training through the Women’s Collective, in partnership with ReflectUs, for AAPI women in the Dallas area. We are also excited to roll out new online events like our APAICS in Conversation series and virtual trainings. Join us this Friday for a webinar on digital campaign strategy during COVID-19 (details below).
We also want to spotlight our alumni who continue carrying out the APAICS mission. Whether you ended up running for office or are pursing a career in public service, we want to hear from you! See below for more details. As always, stay safe and stay tuned for announcements on what’s coming down the line next!
Featured Alumni Testimonial
Alum: Bhavini Patel, CEO Beamdata and Vice chair Edgewood Democratic Committee
Program: National Leadership Academy
“The academy was an incredible opportunity that exposed me to a national network of AAPIs engaged in building a powerful political movement. I learned the nuances of creating an effective campaign representative of my values and those of the community I want to serve. However, the most valuable feelings of my NLA experience was the feeling that I wasn’t alone in fighting the good fight on behalf of the AAPI community.”
