Be Safe and Be Healthy!
I would like to give a big welcome to our newest alumni who attended our Pittsburgh Regional Leadership Academy at the beginning of the month. The two-day training was co-hosted by the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs and we were honored to have State Representative Patty Kim’s support and participation during the Academy.
As we start transitioning into spring, we are facing unprecedented challenges amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Given the circumstances, APAICS has postponed our Dallas Regional Leadership Academy originally scheduled for March 27-28. However, we are still hosting our training with ReflectUs on March 26 online as a webinar and rescheduling the in-person event for later this year.
Throughout March, we are continuing to select our newest class of congressional fellows and interns. There is still time to apply for our brand new Youth Leadership Academy and Congressional Leadership Academy! Please let your networks know of these amazing upcoming opportunities from APAICS and visit our website for details. I hope you are all taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of you and your community and look forward to staying connected with our program alumni!

On working on the Hill:
During my time in the office I focus a lot on keeping up-to-date with current policies and what is happening on the floor. Knowing what is going on is key since many of our Caucus’ offices ask RSC for help on different issues and we help illustrate conservative views or concerns.
