Thankful for our APAICS family
In some personal news, I will be leaving APAICS at the end of this month to serve as the Organizing Director at the Congressional Progressive Caucus Center (CPCC). As I turn another year older and move on to my next adventure, I’m feeling reflective and thankful.
I’m thankful to do this work with you all. You remind me of what makes America great, and that our democracy only works when we work for it. I’m thankful for the opportunity and privilege to serve; I hope I can live up to the responsibility that I have been called to, in creating a more representative democracy. I’m thankful for family, friends, and mentors who listen, keep me grounded, and inspire me to be more than this kid from Woonsocket ever imagined she could be.
I’m also thankful for coffee, Netflix, Twitter, and power lunches.
What are you thankful for?

On the APAICS Fellowship in DC:
Only a few months into the fellowship, I’ve already learned so much about growing professionally as a woman of color. Networking, analyzing policy, addressing constituent emails, and collaborating with a remarkably experienced team has made me so confident in my choice in coming to DC as an APAICS fellow. Most importantly, I’ve gained clarity on where I see myself landing and what path I want to put myself on at the end of my fellowship
