What We’ve Done: December 2020
13 Questions With Tamlyn Tomita
This month we asked Tamlyn “What is your message to young folks getting involved in public service?”
“Thank you. Now. And forever. What you are interested in getting involved in is of the highest order – to serve the public. To help, assist, support people who you do not know and will never altogether know.
Is it your sense of duty? The gigantic nature of your heart? Your desire of giving back? Whatever it is that led you in this direction, you are the best of us.” – Tamlyn Tomita

APAICS and NCAPA Presidential Appointments Project
APAICS and NCAPA are continuing its efforts to encourage the incoming administration to include more Asian American and Pacific Islanders in the appointee space.
The intent of this resume bank is to identify and flag qualified AAPI candidates to serve in the federal administration. We would like to promote this opportunity to our members and encourage you to submit your applications.
Resumes/CV’s can be submitted here!
Questions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Applications will be read and reviewed on a rolling basis by NCAPA. Should your application be selected for further recommendation, we will follow up by contacting you. Please note: submissions do not guarantee an appointee position.

APAICS Alumni Highlights
What a ride 2020 has been. With a major election season just finishing up, we wanted to highlight some of the results of the hard work our Leadership Academy alumni have put in. In 2020 we trained 127 AAPI individuals, 37 of which ran for office. 20 – became newly elected or re-elected RLA and NLA alumni.
