We Celebrate Women
ReflectUS Training, Powered by APAICS
Thursday, March 26, 2020
Doors open at 5:30pm for networking
Women remain underrepresented in elected and appointed office across America. ReflectUS has launched an intervention in Dallas County, TX. With the help of the ReflectUS coalition members, women will have access to training and support on seeking public office at the local level.
On March 26, ReflectUS will host a 2-hour workshop, powered by APAICS, to introduce AAPI women on how to kickstart their campaigns. This workshop is an introductory course to help women do a 360-degree assessment as well as walk participants through the steps of creating a checklist to kickstart their campaigns.
APAICS is dedicated to promoting Asian Pacific American participation and representation at all levels of the political process, from community service to elected office.
Regional Leadership Academy: Pittsburgh
APAICS hosted a Regional Leadership Academy in Pittsburgh, PA – a two-day leadership training event for current elected officials, individuals seeking to run for public office, and community stakeholders.
The program consisted of interactive political training with topics ranging from developing your campaign plan, communications, digital organizing, power mapping, volunteer recruitment and management, and fundraising. It was hosted by APAICS and supported by the Governor’s Advisory Comission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (GACAPAA).
Our next Regional Leadership Academy will take place on March 27-28 in Dallas, TX.
