Jasmine Minato

Prior to APAICS, Jasmine worked in global business development at the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Jasmine mobilized resources for disaster risk reduction, last-mile learning, climate resiliency and anticipatory planning, sexual and reproductive health services, WASH relief, emergency crisis response, and international refugee resettlement programs. She secured private support advancing humanitarian initiatives across MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Central and South America, Europe, and the U.S.


Jasmine also has experience in higher education advancement and managing external partnerships with foundations and corporations. Her development career started as a political consultant in the Bay Area where she managed fundraising, private events, and campaign communications for constitutional officers and elected officials in California.


Ms. Minato interned for the Office of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) in San Francisco and in San Diego, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Washington, and the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) - British Consulate General in San Francisco.


In 2019, Jasmine served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Women's Political Committee (SFWPC). In 2021, She was appointed by the Office of Washington State Governor Jay Inslee to the Washington Higher Education Facilities Authority (WHEFA).


Ms. Minato earned her BA from UC San Diego, where she graduated with a degree in Political Science & Public Policy Analysis with a focus on behavioral economics and decision theoretic foundations.


Jasmine is thrilled to serve APAICS’ mission and promote the vitality and vibrancy of the AANHPI community in public service.
